Coalition Launches Initiative to Unite Progressive Forces and Protect Humanity’s Future

The big picture:

There are thousands of organizations and initiatives worldwide working on improving the quality of life for all life.  But to date, they’re all working in their individual silos.  Imagine what can be accomplished when we unite in Solidarity for the health and prosperity of all of us.

This new multi-sector initiative has launched to rally progressive individuals, organizations, and movements behind a single mission: protecting humanity’s inalienable rights and the natural systems that sustain life — by accelerating progress on the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Why it matters:

Despite abundant affordable and sustainable technologies, the world remains dangerously off-track. The chief culprit, organizers say: chronic under-investment driven by a false belief that nations and people can act independently in an interdependent world. This illusion is fueling political paralysis, environmental collapse, and deeper global instability.

The initiative aims to unite siloed progressive efforts into one coordinated push — countering the “truth decay” that has fractured public trust and weakened political will. Organizers argue that past efforts failed not due to lack of solutions, but lack of unity. The plan:

To generate the political will needed to act on the one viable path to preventing widespread humanitarian and ecological crises. A wiser capitalist response: Work around current governance gridlock by mobilizing business leaders to support a sustainable version of capitalism — one that directs profits into strengthening local communities.

Leaders say the effort isn’t about tearing down what exists, but about building enough collective trust and momentum to reform global governance and economic systems side by side. What’s next Once the initiative’s foundational document is finalized by its conveners: A coordinated rollout strategy will follow, soon to maximize visibility and engagement. Outreach to organizations, funders, and community networks will begin immediately after launch day is set.
